Coil Tubing Well Decommissioning Campaign
Project Overview
An operator needed to reduce well rehabilitation liabilities.
JJM personnel performed an options analysis (global) to estimate the economic benefit of performing plug and abandonment works involving vertical conventional wells with alternate technologies.
The analysis identified considerable cost savings could be realised by performing decommissioning activities in a staged approach with the use of Coiled Tubing to complete the upper abandonment.
JJM personnel then delivered the campaign of work that included obtaining relevant regulatory approvals, running of procurement processes to contract services for the lower abandonment and upper abandonments, wellhead cut and cap activities and well site reinstatement and rehabilitation. Full campaign supervision and project management delivery along with post campaign statutory reporting.
